Entry requirements
A level: Available to those who are studying for, or who have completed Level 3 qualifications (e.g. A-Levels or BTEC diploma) in subject areas other than biological science, and to mature-aged candidates who have the required GCSEs, experience and motivation. IB: Available to those who are studying for, or who have completed an international baccalaureate in subject areas other than higher level biological science, and to mature-aged candidates who have the required GCSE subjects (or equivalent), experience and motivation.
About this course
MBiol in Biology, a five-year integrated masters programme with a foundation year. Core topics include Laboratory Techniques, Fieldwork, Statistics, and Research Methods. The course follows the MBiol Biology syllabus from the second year onward and concludes with a Masters research project embedded within a research group. A flexible degree structure allows specialisation across microbiology, ecology, genetics, and marine biology.
