BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering
About this course
BEng (Hons) Electronic and Electrical Engineering is an undergraduate degree in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering domain. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Control Systems, Mathematical Modelling, Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, Project Management, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a final-year research project and undertake practical design assignments across multiple academic years. The first year covers foundational engineering principles through modules such as Applied Engineering Mathematics, Introduction to Engineering, Mechatronic Design Project, and Embedded Systems. Year 2 advances technical knowledge with Electronic Design Project, Robotic Control Design Project, Electric Machines. Sensors and Actuators, and Signals and Signal Processing. The final year focuses on advanced applications and independent study, featuring Digital Systems and Robotics Design Project, Microcontroller Systems Design Project, Automation and Control, and Research Methods and Individual Project.
