MEng Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering

Anglia Ruskin University

About this course

MEng (Hons) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering is a mechanical engineering degree focused on advanced design, simulation, and modelling. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, and Control Systems. This four-year integrated master's course prepares graduates to work toward Chartered Engineer status and includes an independent research project alongside collaborative group projects. The first year introduces fundamental concepts through modules such as Applied Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Dynamics, Embedded Systems, and Mechatronic Design Project. The second year progresses with Electric Machines. Sensors and Actuators, Electronic Design Project, Robotics Software Development and Modelling, and Robotic Control Design Project. The third year continues with Research Methods and Individual Project, Automation and Control, Electronic and Electrical System Design Project, and Robotics and Machine Intelligence. The fourth year concludes the curriculum with Engineering Major Group Project, Industrial Process Control, Advanced Dynamics and Control Systems, Robotics Design and Manufacturing, and Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
