Offers are tariff based, 104 - 128 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g.: A Levels (General Studies and Key Skills not accepted) BTEC National Extended Diploma: DMM - DDM Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma: DMM - DDM Sports Leaders UK: Higher Sports Leadership qualifications International Baccalaureate Diploma: accepted Access to HE: pass required Welsh Baccalaureate: We will accept this qualification in conjunction with other level 3 qualifications T-Levels: T Levels in a relevant subject considered on a case-by-case basis Extended Project Qualification: Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to the outdoors (e.g. practical experience, work experience, Duke of Edinburgh Award). Applicants demonstrating a keen interest in Sport through their Personal Statement and/or qualifications - such as 'Sports Leaders UK: Higher Sports Leadership' qualification or Level 3 subjects (e.g. PE) may be made a lower offer.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, providing broad study of human function in relation to sport, physical activity, and general wellbeing. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, and Research Methods. The final year includes a dissertation module allowing students to conduct their own research project or a critical review of published literature. Bangor's research group has an international reputation in sport and exercise psychology, motor control and learning, clinical exercise physiology, and strength and conditioning.
