Entry requirements
Offers are tariff based, 120 - 136 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g.: A Levels: Including grade C in a science subject at A2 level (e.g. Biology, Geography, Geology, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Economics, Statistics, Psychology). Key Skills and General Studies not accepted. International Baccalaureate Diploma (including H6 in a science subject) Access: Science/Environmental-based Access course Pass Required BTEC National Extended Diploma: DDM-DDD in a relevant subject (e.g. Countryside Management, Applied Science, Forestry & Arboriculture, or Animal Management) City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma (1080): DDM-DDD in a relevant subject (e.g. Countryside Management, Forestry & Arboriculture, Land & Wildlife Management) Welsh Baccalaureate is accepted Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Applied Science or Laboratory Skills**: DDM-DDD T-levels: considered on a case-by-case basis Extended Project Qualification: Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent.
About this course
MEnvSci in Environmental Science, bringing together biology, chemistry, earth science and resource management to address environmental issues. Core topics include Environmental Analysis, Fieldwork, Data Analysis, Statistics, GIS, and Science Communication. The degree includes field trips to locations such as Snowdonia National Park and is accredited by the Institution of Environmental Science (IES). Students undertake a desk-based research project in the final year and may specialise through optional modules such as Climate Change, Natural Hazards or Advanced GIS and Remote Sensing.
