Entry requirements
Offers are tariff based, 104 - 128 tariff points from a Level 3 qualification* e.g.: A Levels: Including grade C in a science subject at A2 level (e.g. Biology, Geography, Geology, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Economics, Statistics, Psychology). Key Skills and General Studies not accepted. International Baccalaureate Diploma (including H5 in a science subject) Access: Science/Environmental-based Access course Pass Required BTEC National Extended Diploma: DMM-DDM in a relevant subject (e.g. Countryside Management, Applied Science, Forestry & Arboriculture, or Animal Management) City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma (1080): DMM-DDM in a relevant subject (e.g. Countryside Management, Forestry & Arboriculture, Land & Wildlife Management) Welsh Baccalaureate is accepted Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma in Applied Science or Laboratory Skills**: DMM-DDM T-levels: considered on a case-by-case basis Extended Project Qualification: Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science, studying how Earth's geosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere interact. Core topics include programming, data analysis, statistics, fieldwork, research methods, and project management. A residential field course covers environmental conflicts, and a final-year independent dissertation allows students to address a topical research question. All degrees are accredited by the Institution of Environmental Science, with graduates eligible to pursue Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Scientist status.
