About this course
BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, a chemical engineering degree centred on industrial processes and technical engineering principles. Core topics include Project Management. Individual and group projects feature in the final year, allowing students to scale scientific ideas from bench scale to process scale. The first year builds foundational knowledge through Chemical engineering skills, practice and design 1, Principles of chemical engineering 1, Professional portfolio 1, and Science and mathematics for chemical engineering. The second year advances core competencies with Chemical engineering skills, practice and design 2, Principles of chemical engineering 2, Process dynamics, modelling and control, and Professional portfolio 2. The third and final year covers advanced concepts and design work through Advanced principles of chemical engineering, Environmental and engineering project management, Product and process design (group), and Product and process design (individual).
