About this course
BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on engineering principles and practical technologies. The first two years are shared with other related courses, providing a common foundation and the flexibility to switch degree paths or include a professional placement year. Students undertake a professional placement in the third year and complete a BEng individual project in the final year. The first year covers foundational concepts through Design skills, Fundamentals of electronic and electrical engineering, and Fundamentals of engineering and analysis. The second year builds upon this with Core engineering concepts, Engineering practice and design, and Topics in electronic and electrical engineering. The third year consists entirely of the Professional placement. The fourth year concludes the programme with the BEng individual project and the Electronic and electrical engineering major.
