About this course
BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry, a biochemistry degree focused on the intersection of biological and chemical sciences. Laboratory-based training supports practical investigations into molecular processes within living organisms. The first year establishes fundamental scientific concepts through compulsory modules including Biochemistry, Cell biology, Core skills for bioscience, Genetics, Introduction to biological chemistry, and Practical research skills in biochemistry and biomedical sciences. The second year progresses to more advanced laboratory and theoretical topics through compulsory modules such as Advanced skills for bioscience, Dynamic cell, Molecular biochemistry, and Protein structure and analysis.
