A level: AAB including A in Biology and A in a second science or mathematics subject. IB: 36 points overall and 6, 6, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including 6 in Biology and 6 in a second science or mathematics subject.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Biology, a biology degree examining life across molecular, cellular, and global scales. The course includes a compulsory professional placement year integrated into the four-year structure. The first year covers fundamental topics through Biodiversity, Cell biology, Core skills for bioscience, Genetics, Practical research skills in biology, and Principles of ecology and evolution. The second year advances these concepts through Advanced skills for bioscience, Evolution and phylogeny, and Genomics and genetics. The third year consists of a professional placement.
