About this course
BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, a chemistry degree exploring practical and theoretical aspects of the subject across four years. The third year includes a professional placement and study abroad. Year 1 establishes core foundations through modules such as Analytical and spectroscopic techniques, Foundations and applications of chemistry, Skills for chemists, and Year 1 laboratory. Year 2 introduces further study with Characterisation, analytical chemistry and spectroscopy, Computational chemistry, Fundamental concepts of chemistry, Macromolecules and biomolecules, and Year 2 laboratory. Year 3 consists of Professional placement and Study abroad. Year 4 concludes the curriculum with Advanced chemistry 1, Advanced practical skills, and Problems and solutions in modern chemistry A.
