About this course
BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, a computer science degree centred on foundational theory and practical implementation across digital systems. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This four-year programme incorporates a dedicated study abroad period or professional placement year, alongside a substantial final-year project. The first year covers core grounding through modules such as Programming 1, Programming 2, Computer systems architectures, and Discrete mathematics and databases. The second year progresses to technical methods via Advanced programming, Algorithms and complexity, Cybersecurity, and Software engineering. The third year is spent on an international study abroad or professional placement format. The final year centres on the Individual project alongside advanced study options.
