A level: AAA or A*AB including A in one of: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology or Statistics. IB: 36 points overall and 6, 6, 6 or 7, 6, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including 6 in one science or mathematics subject.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Health and Exercise Science, a sport and exercise science degree focusing on physiological, behavioural, and policy-based factors affecting health and wellbeing. Core topics include Statistics and Research Methods. The curriculum culminates in an independent research project during the final year. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as Functional anatomy and biomechanics, Human biochemistry, Human physiology, Public and social health, Research and study skills for sport, health and exercise scientists, and The psychology of sport, exercise and health. The second year examines nutrition, population health, and health communication through compulsory modules including Physiology of health, exercise and nutrition, Population level public health, Psychology and health communication, Research skills and statistics for sport, health and exercise scientists, and Sport and exercise medicine. The final year involves an independent research project alongside tackling interdisciplinary challenges.
