A level: A*A*A including A*A in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. IB: 36 points overall and either 7, 7, 6 in three Higher Level subjects including 6 in Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches or 7, 6, 6 or 7, 7, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including 7 in Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, a mathematics degree focused on developing specialist knowledge in pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The programme includes a professional placement and study abroad options in the third year. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules including Applied mathematics 1A, Applied mathematics 1B, Pure mathematics 1A and Pure mathematics 1B. Subsequent academic stages build upon these initial mathematical principles.
