A level: AAB including Chemistry and one other science or mathematics subject. IB: 36 points overall and 6, 6, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including Chemistry and a second science or mathematics course.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology, a pharmacology degree focused on the scientific study of medicines, drug action, and therapeutic agents. The programme incorporates a mandatory professional placement year in industry. The first year covers core foundations through Fundamentals of pharmacology: health and disease, Fundamentals of pharmacology: the chemistry of drugs, Fundamentals of pharmacology: the science of medicines, and Research and scientific skills for pharmacology. The second year progresses to Cardiovascular, renal and PNS pharmacology, Central nervous system pharmacology, Drug discovery and pharmacokinetics, Immunity and immunotherapy, and Molecular Pharmacology. The third year consists of a professional placement. The final year concludes with advanced study through Advanced topics and trends in pharmacology.
