About this course
BSc (Hons) in Physics, a physics degree exploring fundamental principles from subatomic scales to cosmology. The programme includes a third year spent undertaking a study abroad period or a professional placement. The first year introduces core mathematical and experimental methods through Dynamics and astrophysics, Foundations of physics 1, Mathematics for physics 1, and Physics skills 1. The second year extends these concepts with Foundations of physics 2, Further physics: from neutrinos to black holes, Mathematics for physics 2, and Physics skills 2. The third year consists of either a Study abroad or a Professional placement.
