A level: AAA or A*AB including A in one of: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology or Statistics. IB: 36 points overall and 6, 6, 6 or 7, 6, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including 6 in one science or mathematics subject.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, a sport and exercise science degree centred on human function in physical activity and health environments. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods. The course culminates in an independent research project during the final year. The first year introduces foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as Applied practice in sport and exercise, Functional anatomy and biomechanics, Human biochemistry, and Human physiology. The second year advances scientific knowledge through compulsory modules including Biomechanics and motor control, Physiology of health, exercise and nutrition, Research skills and statistics for sport, exercise and health scientists, and Sport and exercise medicine. The final year focuses on advanced interdisciplinary study and includes the compulsory Research project and Tackling interdisciplinary challenges.
