Entry requirements
A level: AAA or A*AB including A in one of: Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology or Statistics. IB: 36 points overall and 6, 6, 6 or 7, 6, 5 in three Higher Level subjects including 6 in one science or mathematics subject.
About this course
BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, a sport and exercise science degree focusing on human physical function, performance, and health environments. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods. The course includes a professional placement and study abroad year. The first year covers foundational concepts through Functional anatomy and biomechanics, Human physiology, and The psychology of sport, exercise and health. Year 2 advances this knowledge with Biomechanics and motor control, Physiology of health, exercise and nutrition, and Sport and exercise medicine. Year 3 consists of a professional placement and study abroad period. The final year concludes with a Research project and Tackling interdisciplinary challenges.
