About this course
MComp (Hons) in Computer Science, a computer science degree focused on technical foundations and practical computation methods. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Research Methods, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The curriculum includes independent final-year and research projects spanning the third and fourth years. The first year covers foundational concepts through Artificial intelligence 1, Computer systems architectures, Discrete mathematics and databases, and Programming 1. The second year progresses to Advanced programming, Algorithms and complexity, Cybersecurity, and Software engineering. The third year includes an Individual project, while the fourth year centres on a Research project.
