About this course
MComp (Hons) in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, a computer science and computer science (artificial intelligence) degree centred on modern computation and intelligent systems. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Research Methods, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme includes a substantial individual project in the third year and a research project in the fourth year. The first year covers foundational concepts through compulsory modules such as Programming 1, Programming 2, Computer systems architectures, and Artificial intelligence 1. The second year expands into more advanced areas with modules including Algorithms and complexity, Artificial intelligence 2, Foundations and frontiers of machine learning, and Software engineering. The third year centres on the Individual project module, followed by the Research project module in the final fourth year.
