About this course

MEng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering, an aerospace engineering degree focusing on aircraft design, performance, and systems. Core topics include Research Methods. Students complete a group design and business project as well as an individual project in the final year. The first year covers core subjects through Design, materials and manufacturing 1, Engineering mathematics, Mechatronics, Responsible engineering practice, Solid mechanics 1, and Thermofluids 1. The second year continues with Control and mechatronics, Design, materials and manufacturing 2, Engineering computation, Solid mechanics 2, and Thermofluids 2. The third year shifts to specialist topics including Aerodynamics, Aerospace structures, Aircraft performance and design, Aircraft propulsion, and Aircraft stability and control alongside the group project. The final year concludes the programme with Aerospace sciences, MEng individual project, Project scoping and research methods, and Rotorcraft dynamics.
