A level: A*AA including Chemistry and Mathematics. IB: 36 points overall and 7, 6, 6 in three Higher Level subjects including Chemistry and either HL Mathematics.
About this course
MEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, a chemical engineering degree centred on the technical and professional foundations of the discipline. Core topics include Research Methods and Project Management. Individual and group projects feature throughout the curriculum, including a final-year research project and design assignments scaling concepts from bench to process level. The first year establishes fundamentals through modules such as Principles of chemical engineering 1, Science and mathematics for chemical engineering, Chemical engineering skills, practice and design 1, and Professional portfolio 1. The second year progresses with Principles of chemical engineering 2, Process dynamics, modelling and control, Chemical engineering skills, practice and design 2, and Professional portfolio 2. The third year focuses on advanced applications through Advanced principles of chemical engineering, Product and process design (group), Advanced product and process design (individual), and Environmental and engineering project management. The final year concludes the programme with Advanced core chemical engineering and the MEng research project in chemical engineering.
