About this course
MEng (Hons) in Mechanical with Automotive Engineering, a mechanical engineering and robotics engineering degree focused on vehicle design, performance, and automotive systems. Core topics include Research Methods. The course includes a final-year MEng individual project and an opportunity to participate in a student racing team for the Formula Student competition. The first year covers foundational concepts through Engineering mathematics, Mechatronics, Solid mechanics 1, and Thermofluids 1. The second year progresses with Control and mechatronics, Engineering computation, Solid mechanics 2, and Thermofluids 2. The third year shifts focus to specialized topics including Future vehicle and chassis architectures, Group design and business project, Sustainable thermal and electric propulsion, and Vehicle dynamics. The fourth year concludes the degree with Digital engineering of automotive systems, Project scoping and research methods, and the MEng individual project.
