About this course
MEng (Hons) in Robotics Engineering, a robotics engineering degree focusing on autonomous systems and mechanical, electrical and electronic principles. Core topics include Research Methods. Project work is central to the curriculum, and the first two years are shared with the BEng and MEng courses in Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The first year introduces fundamentals of engineering and analysis, design skills, fundamentals of solid mechanics, and fundamentals of thermofluids. The second year covers core engineering concepts, engineering practice and design, and topics in mechanical engineering. The third year advances into computer engineering major, group design and business project, and robotics and mechatronics major. The final year involves applied robotics, human-machine interaction, project scoping and research methods, alongside an MEng individual project.
