About this course
MSci (Hons) in Chemistry with Management, a chemistry and business and management degree exploring chemical science alongside organisational topics. Core topics include Research Methods and Accounting. The five-year structure includes a compulsory professional placement year and culminates in advanced masters-level research. The first year covers foundational principles through Analytical and spectroscopic techniques, Foundations and applications of chemistry, Introduction to accounting, and Organisational behaviour. The second year continues with Fundamental concepts of chemistry and Characterisation, analytical chemistry and spectroscopy for Chemistry with Management students alongside laboratory work. The third year consists entirely of a Professional placement. The fourth year advances technical abilities through Advanced chemistry 1, Advanced practical skills, and Project and literature review. The final fifth year concludes the degree with 21st century research challenges B, Advanced chemistry 2, and the Masters research project B.
