About this course

MSci (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, a sport and exercise science degree centred on biomechanics, physiology, and psychology. Core topics include Statistics and Research Methods. The course includes a substantial independent research project in the final year. The first year covers the foundations through Applied practice in sport and exercise, Functional anatomy and biomechanics, Human biochemistry, and Human physiology. The second year progresses with Biomechanics and motor control, Physiology of health, exercise and nutrition, Sport and exercise medicine, and The psychology of sport and exercise participation. The third year builds advanced analytical capabilities through Advanced quantitative and qualitative data analyses, Research project design and preparation, and Tackling interdisciplinary challenges. The fourth year concludes with a dedicated Research project (MSci).
