About this course

MSci (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science, a sport and exercise science degree examining human function in physical activity and health. Core topics include Statistics and Research Methods. The course includes a study abroad or professional placement year, and a final-year research project. The first year covers core foundations through Functional anatomy and biomechanics, Human physiology, and The psychology of sport, exercise and health. The second year builds competence with Biomechanics and motor control, Physiology of health, exercise and nutrition, and Sport and exercise medicine. The third year consists of a professional placement and study abroad. The fourth year focuses on advanced methodology via Advanced quantitative and qualitative data analyses and Research project design and preparation. The fifth year concludes with the Research project (MSci).
