As creativity is an important part of this course, we encourage you to submit a portfolio as part of the selection process. This is your opportunity to show your ideas and skills to our tutors, and to potentially secure an early unconditional or reduced tariff offer. You can submit a portfolio of films and/or adjacent output, e.g. photography, fine art, creative writing, and more. If you are not studying a creative subject at Level 3, you can still apply for this course. Our portfolio guidance information includes alternative options for how you can show us your passion for the moving image. This course does not require evidence of GCSE qualifications. About this course

BA (Hons) in Film Studies and Photography. Core topics include Research Methods and Ethics & Professional Practice. A Major Project in the final year may take the form of a written dissertation or a practice-based portfolio. Students also undertake a Documentary module exploring genres from direct cinema to ethnographic filmmaking.
