About this course

Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Science with a Year in Industry BSc, an undergraduate degree focused on the theoretical and practical aspects of computing systems and intelligent technologies. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a professional industrial placement year integrated into the four-year course duration. The first year covers foundational concepts through Object Oriented Programming, Databases and Web Programming, and Mathematical and Logical Foundations of Computer Science. The second year expands into technical competence with modules such as Artificial Intelligence 2, Functional Programming, and Software Engineering for Global Challenges. After undertaking the third-year industrial placement, the fourth year allows advanced specialisation through options like Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision and Imaging, culminating in a substantial Computer Science Project.
