Entry requirements
A Level: AAB To include Chemistry + 1 from Maths / Further Maths / Statistics / Biology / Physics. IB: 6,6,5 + 1 from Maths: Analysis and Approaches / Maths: Applications and Interpretation/ Statistics / Biology / Physics at Higher Level with a minimum of 32 points overall. BTEC: BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma and Extended Certificate are accepted, but subjects are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us for further guidance
About this course
Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry BSc, a biochemistry degree focused on the molecular foundations of biological systems. Core topics include Data Analysis. This programme is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. The first year establishes fundamental knowledge through Cell Biology & Physiology, Chemistry for Biochemists I, Molecular Biosciences and Microbiology, and Physical Biochemistry, introducing core laboratory and academic foundations. The second year advances into specialized study with Membranes, Energy and Metabolism, Chemistry for Biochemists - II, Genetic Engineering and Data Science, and Cell and Developmental Biology, enabling students to explore advanced biochemical pathways and technical applications.
