About this course
Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with Study in Continental Europe, a biology degree focused on living organisms and ecological systems. Core topics include Data Analysis, Fieldwork, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. Students spend the third year on a study placement in continental Europe. The first year introduces fundamental concepts through modules such as Ecological Concepts and Plant Sciences, Essential Genetics, and Essentials of Cell Biology & Physiology. The second year builds competence with studies in Animal Biology: Principles and Mechanisms, Plant Sciences: from cells to the environment, and Field Course: Adaptations to Aquatic Environments. The third year involves a study period abroad in Europe. The fourth year features independent research through the Practical Project alongside advanced options like Conservation Practice: Genes to Ecosystems, Cancer Biology, and Molecular and Cellular Immunology.
