About this course
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery, a chemistry degree centred on the molecular principles underpinning pharmaceutical science and drug design. Core topics include Research Methods. The third year includes the 3P1 Research Projects. The first year covers the foundations through General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry I, Physical Chemistry I, and Practical Chemistry I. The second year progresses with Inorganic Chemistry II, Organic Chemistry II, Physical Chemistry II, Practical Chemistry II, and Structural Analysis, alongside available Chemistry Options. The final year involves advanced study via Molecules and Materials, Properties of Matter, Structure, Strategy and Spectroscopy, and Synthesis and Reactivity, supported by Year 3 Research Methodology I and Year 3 Research Methodology II.
