About this course

Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering with International Study, a civil engineering degree focused on technical design and infrastructure principles. Core topics include Engineering Design. Students complete a dedicated period of study abroad during the programme alongside advanced project work. The first year covers foundational principles through Engineering Mathematics 1, Mechanics 1, Engineering Materials and Integrated Design Project 1A. The second year progresses into specialised areas with modules such as Mechanics of Structures, Soil Mechanics, Environmental Fluid Mechanics and Integrated Design Project 2. The third year is spent abroad studying at a partner institution. The final stages involve advanced technical study and independent research through modules including Individual Engineering Project (MEng), Advanced Structural Design, Advanced Geotechnical Analysis and Climate Resilient Infrastructure and GIS.
