About this course
Master in Science in Computer Science MSci, a computer science degree focusing on software development and computational theory. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a major independent project in their final year. The first year covers core principles through Object Oriented Programming, Databases and Web Programming, and Data Structure & Algorithms. The second year builds on this with Functional Programming, Operating Systems and Systems Programming, and Software Engineering for Global Challenges. The third and fourth years introduce advanced study and specialization options. Students can choose from a wide range of optional subjects such as Advanced Cryptography, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Imaging, and Natural Language Processing, culminating in the Project - Masters 60 module.
