About this course
Bachelor of Science in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning, a planning, property and environmental management and geography degree centred on human geography, spatial analysis and environmental systems. Core topics include Research Methods and Fieldwork. The course spans three years and addresses challenges such as urban regeneration and sustainable development. The first year covers the foundations through LC Connected Earth: Environmental Systems and Change, LC Planning for the Built Environment, LC Societies, Space and Place, and LC Fieldwork: Principles and Practice. The second year expands into specialized study with Urban Policy Design and Planning Analysis, Skills for Planners: Planning Practice Studio, Field Research Skills for Human Geography and Planning, and Dissertation Labs for Human Geography and Planning. Students can also select from a broad range of optional modules covering cultural, political, development and urban geographies, as well as ecological systems and environmental pollution management.
