About this course
Bachelor of Science in Geology BSc, an earth and environmental sciences degree focused on the physical structure and history of the planet. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, and Project Management. Students undertake fieldwork and practical skills training as part of the curriculum. The first year covers foundational concepts through modules such as Applied GIS and Data Science, Building the Earth: from Minerals to Mountains, Connected Earth: Environmental Systems and Change, and Earth History and Life. The second year progresses to more advanced topics including Earth Resources, Environmental Impacts and Sustainability, Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, Sedimentology, and Structural Geology and Geophysics.
