About this course

Bachelor of Arts in History of Art History of Art BA, a history of art degree centred on the study of visual culture and creative practices. Core topics include Research Methods. Students complete a dissertation in the final year and undertake study trips and gallery-based learning in various locations. The second year focuses on advanced methodologies and specialised periods through modules such as Research Techniques in History of Art, Art History in the Field: Overseas Study Trip, and Inside the Gallery: Curating an Exhibition. Optional study covers topics ranging from modernism and political art to nineteenth-century French society and global cultural studies.
