About this course
Master in Science in Human Sciences MSci, a biological sciences degree examining human biology, psychology, and behaviour. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, Fieldwork, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The final master's year requires an extended research project occupying two-thirds of the academic workload. The first year covers foundational concepts through Discovering Human Sciences, Exploring Human Sciences, Societies, Space and Place, and Cell Biology and Physiology. The second year expands into specialized topics with modules such as Data Science for Brain and Behaviour 1, Exploring Experimental Environments, Building Interdisciplinary Expertise, and Control Of Human Movement. The third year involves advanced study via Interdisciplinary Synthesis and Professional Development, Evidence-based literature review and critical analysis informed project proposal, Entrepreneurial Start Up, and Human Sciences Literature Review and Interdisciplinary Research Proposal. The fourth year centers on advanced research and scientific communication through compulsory study like Extended Research Project, Funding Science, and Research Developments and Scientific Communication.
