About this course
Bachelor of Arts in International Development and Politics, a degree in international development with economics and politics and international relations focused on global political systems and development practice. Core topics include Research Methods. Students complete a dissertation in the final year. The first year covers foundational concepts through Introduction to International Development, Introduction to Political Theory, Politics of Development, and Understanding Politics. The second year explores specialised areas through Working in Development, Comparative Politics, International Relations Theory, and International Political Economy. The final year allows students to study advanced topics such as African Politics, Human Rights and Development, Conflict and Peace: Theory and Practice, and Global Security, alongside completing a dissertation.
