About this course

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Study in Continental Europe, a mathematics degree focusing on analytical techniques and problem-solving methods. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This four-year course includes a dedicated third year spent studying mathematics abroad in continental Europe, and concludes with a final-year project. The first year covers core foundations through Mathematical Foundations, Calculus and Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Mechanics, and Probability, Data and Statistics, alongside language modules. The second year expands into Applied Linear Algebra and Optimisation, Graphs and Algorithms, and Groups, Rings and Fields, while continuing language study. The third year involves study in continental Europe. In the final year, students complete a Mathematical Project and select from various advanced options spanning Combinatorics and Computation, Continuum Mechanics, Data Science and Machine Learning, Galois Theory and Coding Theory, Game Theory, Geometry and Mathematical Physics, Graph Theory and Applications, Mathematics in Biology and Medicine, Mathematics of Financial Derivatives, Measure Theory and Functional Analysis, Medical Statistics, Number Theory and Cryptography, Numerical Analysis, Optimisation, Partial Differential Equations and Applications, Statistical Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, and Topology.
