About this course

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive), a mechanical engineering degree focused on automotive systems and engineering principles. Core topics include Control Systems and Engineering Design. Students complete an individual engineering project in the final year. The first year covers foundational subjects through Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Engineering Materials, Engineering Mathematics 1, and Fluid Mechanics and Energy Transfer. The second year introduces Engineering Mathematics 2, Integrated Design Project 2, Mechanical Design A, and Mechanics 2. The third year advances into specialist topics, featuring CFD and FEA (Computational Fluid Dynamics and Finite Element Analysis), Powertrain and Vehicle Engineering, Sustainable Energy and the Environment, and the Individual Engineering Project (BEng).
