About this course

Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a Year Abroad, a mechanical engineering degree focused on engineering principles and global industry practice. Core topics include Control Systems, Engineering Design, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students spend the third year studying abroad at an international partner institution before returning to complete an individual engineering project in the final year. The first year covers the foundations through Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Engineering Materials, and Mechanics 1. The second year progresses with Mechanical Design A, Mechanics 2, and Thermodynamics and Fluids. The third year consists of a Year Abroad (Mechanical Engineering). The fourth year features compulsory advanced study including Synoptic Mechanical Engineering and an Individual Engineering Project (MEng), alongside options such as Advanced Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence for Engineers, and Biomedical Engineering.
