About this course

Master of Engineering in Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering, an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on intelligent systems and automated hardware. Core topics include Circuit Design, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete an individual engineering project in the final year alongside advanced design coursework. The first year establishes fundamental mathematical and scientific principles through modules such as Engineering Mathematics 1, Mechanics 1, and Integrated Design Project 1A. The second year advances core technical competence via Digital Electronics and Electrical Machines, Electronic Circuits and Devices and Electromagnetics, and Mechatronics and Control Engineering. Third-year studies expand into specialist domains with modules including The Internet of Things, Telerobotics, Telepresence and Augmented Reality, and LM Integrated Design Project 3 (MEng). The final year culminates in an Individual Engineering Project (MEng) alongside advanced study in topics like Data Mining and Machine Learning, Small Embedded Systems, and Sensing and Control for Autonomous Systems.
