About this course
Bachelor of Science in Physics with Data Science, a physics and computer science degree combining core physics principles with modern computational techniques. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a three-year undergraduate programme structured across laboratory work, computational training, and advanced theoretical study. The first year establishes fundamental methods through modules such as Classical Mechanics and Relativity 1, Mathematics for Physicists 1, Physics Laboratory 1, and Introduction to Data Science. The second year expands into specialized techniques with Data Science Projects, Foundations and Applications of Data Science, Physics Laboratory 2, and Quantum Mechanics 2 alongside elective choices including Observational Astronomy and Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Mechanics. The final year focuses on advanced computing and specialized study via compulsory modules such as Group Studies, Scientific Computing Laboratory 1, and Statistical Physics. Students can further tailor their learning from a broad range of optional subjects covering Biophysics, Machine Learning, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Medical Imaging, and Particle Physics.
