About this course
Bachelor of Science in Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology BSc, a physics degree focused on the fundamental laws of nature and the universe. Core topics include Statistics and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a final-year project as part of the curriculum. The first year introduces foundational material through compulsory modules such as Classical Mechanics and Relativity, Mathematics for Physicists 1, and Physics Laboratory 1. The second year builds on this with Mathematics for Physicists 2, Modern Physics, and Physics Laboratory 2. The final year includes advanced study in areas such as Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Power, and Gravitation, Cosmology and Galaxies. Optional modules and specialised laboratory work allow students to explore topics including Medical Physics and Professional Science Communication and Teaching.
