Entry requirements
A Level: AAA - ABB dependent on the number of preferred science subjects included. IB: 6,6,6 - 6,5,5 in Higher level subjects plus 32 points overall, dependent on the number of preferred science subjects as defined for the A-level qualification.. BTEC: BTEC Extended Diploma in science related subject will be considered. BTEC Diploma accepted in combination with an A level. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma accepted in combination with two A levels.
About this course
Bachelor of Science in Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, a sport and exercise science degree centred on biological, psychological and physiological aspects of human performance and well-being. Core topics include Research Methods. The course includes a final-year project or professional dissertation. The first year covers the foundations through Functional Anatomy, Human Physiology and Exercise, and Sport, Exercise and Health Psychology, alongside Clinical and Exercise Biochemistry and Scientific and Professional Communication. The second year introduces Control Of Human Movement, Exercise Metabolism, Sport and Performance Psychology, Sport Development, and Sport Nutrition. In the final year, students select from options such as Analysis of Motor Performance, Athletic training and conditioning, Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation, and Sport Injury Rehabilitation, while also completing a project or professional dissertation.
