Entry requirements

A Level: AAB - ABB dependent on the number of preferred subjects included. IB: 6,6,5 - 6,5,5 in Higher level subjects plus 32 points overall, dependent on the number of preferred subjects as defined for the A-level qualification.. BTEC: BTEC Extended Diploma in science related subject will be considered. BTEC Diploma accepted in combination with an A level. BTEC Subsidiary Diploma accepted in combination with two A levels.

About this course

Bachelor of Science in Sport, PE and Coaching Science BSc, a sport, pe and coaching science degree exploring the scientific principles of human performance, education, and industry management. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, and Ethics & Professional Practice. Students undertake a three-year programme structured to build professional competency and practical capability in sports leadership. The first year establishes foundational knowledge through modules such as Introduction to Teaching and Coaching, Movement and Learning, Introduction to Sports Science, Principles of Sport Business Management, and Sport, Exercise and Health Psychology. The second year advances this understanding with more specialised study in areas like Applied Exercise Physiology, Sport and Performance Psychology, and Innovation and Professional Practice in Sport. Students also engage with essential applied practice and investigative techniques through modules including Research Methods and Data Analysis and Applied Professional Practice.
