Entry requirements
For September 2026 and September 2027 entry: This course requires 120–128 UCAS tariff points (A-levels grades BBB –ABB) including a minimum of 2 A-levels in required subjects or equivalent. Required subjects: mathematics and a science or technology subject. We also accept a wide range of vocational qualifications including BTEC Extended Diploma (grade DMM) and T Levels (Merit).
About this course
BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. Core topics include Engineering Design, Mathematical Modelling, Programming, Systems Design, Data Analysis and Statistics. The degree can be completed in three years full-time or four years with an optional minimum 30-week industry placement. The final year includes an individual engineering project, and students have access to a dedicated Innovation Centre for Design and Engineering.
