About this course
BA Comparative Literatures and Cultures, a modern languages degree centred on the analytical study of global texts across national boundaries, linguistic divisions, and disciplinary fields. All texts are examined in English through translation, exploring literary and cultural production from diverse regions and centuries. Students investigate the interactions between literature and media such as film, video, digital literature, and visual arts, while considering how texts move through time and space via migration, trade, colonisation, and reader reception.
