About this course
BA in Film and Modern Languages, a degree centred on Modern Languages and BA (Hons) Photography spanning film and television alongside a chosen language and its related cultures. Students can study French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish from either beginners or post-A level, except Portuguese which is available from beginners only. The programme incorporates a year abroad, and language choices are finalized following offer acceptance. Students select their language after accepting an offer, and all languages except Portuguese accommodate beginners and post-A level entry. The course includes a year abroad to gain international experience, and students have access to department facilities such as a Multimedia Centre equipped with a video editing suite, language lab, mini-cinema and foreign-language film collection.
